At Roundtable next Tuesday, November 15 we will be having our 2017 Friends of Scouting Kickoff. Please send at least one representative from every unit, ideally the person that will be handling Friends of Scouting this year. Please RSVP on the Sign Up Genius below. All presenters are also invited. This will be a night of learning, sharing, and goal setting.

Sea Base High Adventure Trek for 1st Timers without the financial resources

Each year, the Scoutreach Division from the Atlanta Area Council sponsors an all-expense paid trip to a high adventure base. In 2017 we plan to take 24 youth and 6 adults to Sea Base June 7^th – June 18^th and I need your help getting the word out to your Scouts. Please keep in mind that the trek is designed to provide opportunities to those Scouts who have never attended a high adventure base and do not have the financial resources to do so. Attached below is a letter that was mailed to several registered Scouts, along with the youth and leader application. The requirements to attend are detailed on the application which must be returned by November 30, 2016. Please note that you only need to submit the application and letter of recommendation by November 30^th. If selected they will be asked to provide the BSA Medical form and proof of insurance. Adult leaders are needed, as well so feel free to pass the Leader Application to anyone that you think may be interested.
