Please join us at 7:30 on Tuesday, January 17 at Roundtable for a special presentation by Atlanta Area Council’s Director of Safe Scouting, Mr. Jason Baldridge. Jason will cover important Youth Protection policies, issues, best practices, and frequently asked questions. This event should not be missed by all Cub Masters, Scoutmasters, Den Leaders, Assistant Scoutmasters, Adult leaders, and parents. Please add this to you Pack/Troop/Crew calendar and invite everybody you know involved in Scouting. Jason will have lots of valuable information, resources, and giveaways. Atlanta Area Council is home to the only, and best, Safe Scouting Director so don’t miss this chance to learn about our barriers to abuse, youth protection policies, bullying awareness, and most importantly how to keep all your Scouts safe!

The Merit Badges page (Home> District Advancement> Merit Badges) has been updated with new information - Check it out.

Troop 827 is very excited to host a merit badge clinic at Notre Dame Academy on Saturday, January 21^st.  We will be offering 18 different badges, including 9 Eagle-required badges. These are being taught by active Scouting leaders and troop committee members who are well-qualified in their areas of expertise. On-line registration is open through Jan. 18, and walk-in registration will be accepted if space is available. We accept checks and credit cards (Paypal) for registration.

There are new modifications to the cub program as of Dec. 1, 2016.  These change the requirements going forward that ALL den leaders and packs should use through the rest of the 2016/17 scouting year. Here is a link to a pdf document on the Scouting.org website listing all the official changes.
