The City of Suwanee and Harvest Farm have collaborated to develop the first public orchard and integrated playground in the Southeastern US. While the farm and barn are already open to the public, the orchard will continue to be planted over the next few months, largely by community volunteers.

Atlanta Area Council Merit Badge Counselor Registration and Renewal

TheAtlanta Area Council has published information on Merit Badge Counselor Registration and Renewal—details can be found on the Merit Badges page of the District Website (Home>District Advancement> Merit Badges). 

Highlights include a welcome letter, automatic renewal, District Advancement Chair will work with Units to identify Counselors not renewing for the following year.

Outdoor Leader Skills for Webelos Leaders (OWLS)

Attention: All new Webelos Den Leaders

You have an opportunity to get trained as Webelos Den Leaders.
NOTE: you cannot take your Dens camping as Dens unless you are OWLS trained.

Norcross Presbyterian ChurchThis course is designed to help Webelos leaders enhance the outdoor program for the Webelos Scouts in their den by teaching some basic outdoor skills as well as skills needed to complete many of the Webelos/Arrow of Light Adventures.

Remember to log your service hours onto Internet Advancement - AND - if any units ever need a turn-key service day, Gwinnett County parks can set something up for you at any park, almost any day, and provide a staff leader, supplies, water, and tools! Just ask!

EAGLE SCOUT RANK APPLICATION has been updated

The Eagle Scout Rank Application (Form 512-728  April 2017 Printing) was updated in April 2017.  Link to the form can be found on the Eagle Scouts page of the District Website (Home>District Advancement> Eagle Scouts).  Download a new copy each time you need to complete the application as the form changes frequently.

Eagle Scout Recognition Ceremony at the Rialto Center for the Arts
