2018 District Awards Banquet - Tuesday, Feb 19

All Scout leaders (Cubs, Scouts BSA, Venturing) are invited to an evening of great networking, mingling, and recognition. Individual leaders will be recognized, and unit awards announced. Please make sure at least one person from each unit attends! We'd like a headcount by February 8^th.

2019 Cub Day Camp Planning & Information Meeting

Day Camp dates are set for Mon-Thu, June 10-13, 2019

We are kicking off our Day Camp Planning season with an informative meeting on January 15, 2019 at 6:45pm at Christ the King Lutheran Church (5575 Peachtree Parkway, Peachtree Corners).

We would like a representative from every Pack to attend so that we can get input from and information to each Pack. If you are no longer serving as the Point-of-Contact for Day Camp, please let us know and send a representative from your Pack in your place.

Program Area Directors from 2018 are also asked to attend. (If you are not able to serve as a director, please ask around at your Pack to see if anyone can take your place for 2019.) We will be discussing how these positions are staffed and you won't want to miss it!

Nominations are now being taken for the District Award of Merit. The Awards will be presented at the District Awards Banquet in February. Nominations are due by January 31. If you have a nomination, please send a completed District Award of Merit form to Jim Gilpatrick at gilpatj@att.net. The nomination form can be found on the home page of the district website.

Calling All Units for 2018 Golden Quill Award Nominations

2018 Golden Quill Award Nominations - Is there a volunteer that gives of themselves freely and unselfishly for the good of your unit? Recognize their contribution at the Annual Button Gwinnett District Banquet with the Golden Quill Award. One nomination per unit and the Honoree should be a person that has not received the award previously. For 2018, please send the Golden Quill Nomination Form to Austin McGee at austin.bsa@gmail.com by January 31.

Please send a Representative from your unit to this FOS Kickoff Dinner

On Tuesday, December 11th 6:30pm at Christ the King Lutheran Church (our Roundtable location), we will have a kickoff for our 2019 Friends of Scouting Campaign in the Button Gwinnett District. Please have your Friends of Scouting Coordinator (or Unit Representative) attend. Please also have them bring your Pack or Troop Calendar so we can set your presentation date. Dinner will be provided.
