The time has come for each unit in the District to select one of their own and nominate them for the Button Gwinnett District Golden Quill award.  This is a chance to select one adult for each unit that would be considered their "most valuable player"; someone that is an integral part of the unit and deserves to be recognized for their supportive efforts.  See the attached nomination form for more information and instructions on how to submit the name of your unit's honoree.  Note that the due date to submit your nomination is Saturday, December 7th and can be sent in by mail, e-mail or turned in on Recharter Saturday (12/7).

Pinewood Derby time is fast approaching and there has been an update to the District rules.  See the attachment. Additionally, the date for the Button Gwinnett District Pinewood Derby is Saturday, March 15.  The location and times will be announced at a later date.  So, for now, save the date of March 15 for the District Derby.

Calling all Webelos Dens / Patrols Leaders -
Come join us for a Webelos Outdoor Experience at Bert Adams Scout Reservation.  This event is only for registered Webelos Scouts and will include patrol competitions, Scout Skills and the ever popular Flour Fight.
The combination of activities, Scout Skills and overnight camping will be enough to earn the Outdoorsman Activity Pin in this weekend.
