As most of you are aware, we are vastly approaching the Scouting for Food collection date. The Atlanta Area Council has set aside the morning of Saturday, March 14th as "Bag Distribution Day" and the morning of Saturday, March 21st as "Food Collection Day".

We will be passing out supplies (bags, flyers, thank you stickers) at this month's (Feb. 17th) Button Gwinnett District Roundtable. Please send a representative to collect supplies, as well as, address any questions you may have.  You will only be able to receive supplies if you have registered through the AAC web site.  Please take the time to go to atlantabsa.org/scoutingforfood to register your Unit.

This year Button Gwinnett Distict has teamed with Norcross Co-Op as the benefactor of the food collected. Any food collected can be dropped off at Norcross Co-Op from 8am - 2pm on Sat. March 21st. Norcross Co-Op address: 2275 Mitchell Road, Norcross, Ga 30071. We will distribute patches and collect rosters during this time.

Finally, I want to remind each unit to login any service hours for this event @ www.myscouting.org.

NEW BSA certified Swim Test and Merit Badge clinic for swimming offered!

BSA Swimming Merit Badge Class is offered on 4/25 from 9 am - 1 pm for $20.  Covers all requirements for the MB and includes swim test.

BSA Swim Test is offered on 4/25 or 5/9 from 10:30 am - 11:30 am for $10.

Saturday, January 10, 2015, is the Button Gwinnett District's second-chance re-charter day.  The District Commissioner Staff will be available from 8:00 AM to noon at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 5100 South Old Peachtree Road, Norcross, GA 30092. We want to help all units complete their re-charter paperwork and pay their re-charter fees at this event.  If you did not attend the first re-charter day on 12/6/14, here is your chance.
