Attention all Boy Scout Troops:
     As you all head into the upcoming calendar planning season, keep the weekend of March 11 - 13, 2016 open so you can participate in the Atlanta Area Council Campout 100.  This will be a great opportunity to celebrate and fellowship with Scouts and leaders from across the Council as part of the centennial year of the Atlanta Area Council.

Time to get excited about growing your Pack!! Attached you will find a flyer that has the details about the Fall Recruitment training, being held on Tuesday, May 12th. We hope that you can attend and learn tips and ideas that will help with recruitment.

Due to the National BSA meeting reception taking place downtown Atlanta on our regular monthly roundtable night on May 19, we are moving our meeting to Tuesday May 12. I hope you can make it.

District Advancement Chair Greg Thurlow is going to make a special presentation to Life Scouts and parents who want to learn what is needed to finish earning the Eagle rank. Please invite them all to the May 12 Roundtable.  Greg’s informative presentation will last from 7:45 until 8:30 that evening. Greg is going to outline the process and answer questions about finalizing the path to Eagle, particularly the paperwork and the service project.

Don’t miss it! Please let your Life Scouts and their folks know immediately. It will be a great chance to learn and ask questions from he who knows.
