District Awards Banquet – SAVE THE DATE – February 18, 2020

[NOTE THE TIME] 6:30pm-8:00pm at Christ the King Lutheran Church - All Scout leaders (Cubs, Boy Scouts, Venturing) are invited to an evening of great networking, mingling, and recognition. Individual leaders will be recognized, and unit awards announced. Please make sure at least one person from each unit attends! We need a headcount by February 12^th—look for a SignUpGenius soon!

2020 Camp Cards sales can now be applied directly to cover Camp Fees for Cubs & Scouts

We're Not Just Selling Discount Cards, We're Selling Camp.  While the Camp Card discounts are a great plus, what you're really selling is character and a better community. What you are really doing is making sure every Scout can benefit from summer camp.  Units participating in this program will earn 50% commission ($2.50) for each $5 Camp Card they sell. Sign your Pack / Troop / Crew up to sell Camp Cards at www.atlantabsa.org/event/2457889. This program is risk free!  Units can simply return any unsold cards. Questions? DON'T MISS your Unit's 2019 Golden Quill Nominee

Is there a volunteer that gives of themselves freely and unselfishly for the good of your unit?  Recognize their contribution at the Annual Button Gwinnett District Banquet with the Golden Quill Award.  One nomination per unit and the Honoree should be a person that has not received the award previously. 2019 District Award of Merit Nominations

Nominations are now being taken for the District Award of Merit. Need Training? The University of Scouting is THE place to be! With more than 60 classes to choose from that range from the beginning leader/Cub Scout parent to Scouts BSA leader/veteran Venture Crew advisor or youth in a leadership role, you are assured of finding the help you are looking for! University of Scouting is a one-day supplemental training that offers everything from the most basic Leader Specific training to more advanced sessions. This year will feature lots of new and exciting classes designed to help you, the unit leader, take your unit to the next level of program. 20^th Annual (and Final) – February 14-16, 2020

The 2020 Derby will be held at Bert Adams Scout Camp. Tom Owens will be following up with Troop “Town Sponsors.” [Thanks in advance for your help.] The Saturday night spaghetti dinner will be included in this year's fees ($25/person). Please be ready with final numbers and payment at the January roundtable (1/21/20).
