University of Scouting (UoS) is the premier training event of the year for the Atlanta Area Council. Because successful units are led by trained leaders, UoS provides an opportunity for Scouters to receive supplemental and position specific training. We encourage your leadership team to attend UoS together.  This year, the event will be virtual due to Covid. For more information:

With the status of Covid uncertain, the Button Gwinnett District Team is working to build plans for Day Camp, and see what kind of program format might work for packs. We’re working with several different plans, depending on the status of the pandemic, and we want your input.  A meeting scheduled a conversation for Tuesday, February 9 at 7pm. If you’re unable to make it, please ensure that your pack has a representative on the call.  For details on joining the call, contact Zach Fisher or Howard Jetmundsen at 678-517-5354.  If you are unable to make it but want to discuss, you can also call Zach or Howard.

The Atlanta Area Council sponsors training courses to help train Scout Leaders to enable Scouts, Scouters, and others to improve their shooting skills and shooting knowledge. Successful completion of the training courses will help increase your unit’s chances of having a successful shooting sports weekend, increase your personal knowledge of shooting activities, shooting safety, and marksmanship.

To all Units:
