Sea Base High Adventure Trek for 1st Timers without the financial resources

Posted on Nov 9 2016 - 5:43pm

Each year, the Scoutreach  Division from the Atlanta Area Council sponsors an all-expense paid trip to a high adventure base.  In 2017 we plan to take 24 youth and 6 adults to Sea Base June 7th – June 18th and I need your help getting the word out to your Scouts.  Please keep in mind that the trek is designed to provide opportunities to those Scouts who have never attended a high adventure base and do not have the financial resources to do so.  Attached below is a letter that was mailed to several registered Scouts, along with the youth and leader application.  The requirements to attend are detailed on the application which must be returned by November 30, 2016.  Please note that you only need to submit the application and letter of recommendation by November 30th.  If selected they will be asked to provide the BSA Medical form and proof of insurance.  Adult leaders are needed, as well so feel free to pass the Leader Application to anyone that you think may be interested.
