Voting Members of the Button Gwinnett District,

The Button Gwinnett District has the opportunity to elect new District Leaders on an annual basis. The District Nominating Committee formed under my leadership is charged with the responsibility of presenting a slate of nominees for the elected positions. As a Voting Member, you will have the opportunity to vote on the Nominating Committee’s recommendations at the Button Gwinnett District Annual Business Meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in the Fellowship Hall of Christ the King Lutheran Church, 5575 Peachtree Parkway (the location of our District Committee meetings and Roundtable). Greetings

Let me start by saying that I am humbled and honored to serve as the Boy Scout Roundtable District Commissioner. From the first meeting I attended, I came to realize the importance of this monthly meeting in serving the needs of all the units in Button Gwinnett District. Topics will range from specific ranking requirements, to BSA policies and procedures, to fun activities.

ATLANTA AREA COUNCIL MERIT BADGE UNIVERSITY

Merit Badge University is a   unique Merit Badge program that helps Scouts learn about different fields by   recruiting experienced professional counselors. Classes will include   Emergency Preparedness, Citizenship in the Nation, Communication, Robotics   and many more! Merit Badge University will be held on October 15, 2016 at Oglethorpe   University. Registration for the event and class registration will   open on Friday, September 9th.
